Who out there has wanted to try their hand at directing for the first time or is ready to dive back in?
Seoul Players’ 11th Annual 10-Minute Play Festival is now seeking directors for our November 2024 festival. We have selected a crop of interesting plays and want your help to bring them to life on the stage!

If you’ve already directed for Seoul Players, you only need to send us an email of interest – no resume required!
First-time directors are welcome. We consider the 10-Minute Play Festival to be a place where new and experienced artists can meet and work together. Our board members will be available to help in any way we can to ensure you have a great experience and bring your vision to life.
Some years we have more plays than directors, so let us know if you would be interested in directing 1 or 2 plays. Everyone can be involved in a maximum of 2 plays, so you can choose to audition for 1 and direct 1, but if you direct 2, you may not audition.

Important Dates:
August 31-September 1: Auditions*
October 19th, 20th : Observed Rehearsals**
November 2nd, 3rd : TECH***
November 8th, 9th, 10th: First Round
November 16th : Finals
*If you are unable to attend auditions, you can still direct a play. Our producers will cast it for you.
**At Observed Rehearsals, we will rent a space and invite each play to rehearse for an hour in the space so the producer can see how shows are coming along. This is also where our tech/stage manager can get a feel for the technical requirements of the piece, and our translator can ensure the tone is matching the tone of the translation. Please be aware that due to the number of plays, we like to keep lighting and tech cues relatively simple.
***Each play will receive 1 hour for tech during tech weekend.
