Charles Jeong

Charles Jeong is the artistic director of Seoul Shakespeare Company. For about 15 years, he has been committed to presenting Shakespeare’s works to audiences in Korea by producing shows, translating the plays, and performing in them. His recent productions include Measure for Measure (2023), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2024), and Romeo and Juliet (2025).
Brian Petersen

Brian T Petersen is the current Artistic Director of Seoul Players. He has worked on numerous 10 minute play festivals as actor, director, producer, technical director, and any other job that needed to be done in the moment. He is super excited to get to judge in this year’s festival! Best of luck to all the casts.
Maria Silva

Maria is a Seoul-based actress, director, and teaching artist from Venezuela. She holds a BA in Theatre from Hanyang University and is currently pursuing an MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences at Korea National University of Arts. She has had the great honor and pleasure of being involved with the Expat Theatre Community since 2016. Including Seoul Shakespeare Company productions of Much Ado About Nothing (Director Assistant, Assistant SM), King Lear (Cordelia), Measure for Measure (Kate Keepdown/ Gentlemen 1/ Froth), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Nick Bottom), and Seoul Players’ main stage production of The Birds (Trochilus/ Leader/Chorus) and 10-minute play festivals. Humbled and grateful for the invitation to be part of this Year’s 10-minute play festival and completely thrilled to watch all the finalist plays.
Frank Ventham

With 14 years of experience teaching literature, Frank has cultivated a passion for the written word, particularly the works of playwrights like Samuel Beckett and Henrik Ibsen. His journey in the world of theatre has not only deepened his appreciation for their thought-provoking narratives but also inspired him to engage actively with the vibrant Seoul theatre scene.
As a regular volunteer at the 10-minute play festival, Frank enjoys contributing to the creative process by serving as a script reader, helping emerging playwrights refine their work. This involvement allows him to witness, firsthand, the dynamic energy of local productions and the innovative storytelling that characterizes Seoul’s artistic landscape. His commitment to nurturing a love for literature extends beyond the classroom, as he strives to inspire students and audiences alike to explore the depths of human experience reflected in the works of great playwrights.
Jennifer Waescher

Jennifer has been living in Seoul for many years and has participated in the theatre scene on and off, and works in the entertainment industry as an actor and musician. She has been involved with Seoul Players on a few occasions, both in Main Stage productions (The Real Inspector Hound, Pillowman) and the 10MPF. This will be Jennifer’s 4th role in the festival, having acted, written and hosted in the past. She is delighted to be involved again and looks forward to seeing all the finalists this year.
