Playwright: Marla Norton
Marla Norton is an actor, playwright, and director. Marla’s passion for theatre began as a 12-year-old in Cleveland, Ohio. Through many life journeys she now resides in Eugene, Oregon. Her playwright life began 15 years ago when taking playwriting classes during her undergraduate theatre degree at the University of Oregon. Combining her love for theatre and writing was a wonderful discovery. She has written many 10 minute plays, and has had them produced in Eugene, Corvallis, Portland, Santa Cruz, and now Korea! Last year she also began co-producing evenings of 10-minute staged readings in Eugene as “A Slice of Life” events. She is thrilled to have her play included in the Seoul Players 10-minute play festival!
Director: Ellie Loethen
Ellie is an actress and graduate student from Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. She has been an actress for eighteen years and is excited (and nervous!) to dip her toes into directing for the stage. She is currently studying at Yonsei University to earn her masters in Korean Studies. Much of her acting career was in Saint Louis but notable roles include Jenny in Jenny Kissed Me and Yuki in the film Somewhere Between Arnold and Festus. She is excited to share her stage acting debut with Seoul Players and work with talented actors!
