Playwright: Sara Alanis

Sara Alanis is a playwright from Monterrey, Mexico. Her play, A Bathroom Eulogy, was produced in Los Angeles by the Blank Theater for its nationwide Young Playwrights Festival. Additionally, her play, Polaroids from the Apocalypse, was chosen as a finalist for the Meanwhile Park Playwright Prize and was performed at the Green Mountain New Play Festival and the Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival. Sara is a current student at Stanford University, where she is pursuing a degree in English. Apart from playwriting, Sara enjoys writing screenplays, short stories, and nonfiction essays and has previously worked as an actor, stage manager, producer, and director.
