Mia, Myself, and A.I.

Playwright: Kathryn Ryan

Kathryn Ryan is a playwright whose work has been produced Off-Broadway and at theaters and festivals from New York to Alaska.

Her full-length plays “Wallowich @ Home, Alone” and “Lilli Marlene” premiered Off-Broadway, while “Hilary Kole In: A Good Man Is Hard To Find” toured cabaret venues along the East Coast of the U.S.  Sixteen of her other full-length, one-act, and short plays have been staged in more than a dozen states, virtually, and now in Seoul, South Korea, reaching audiences worldwide.

She trained at the NYC High School of Performing Arts, SUNY Purchase, and Ensemble Studio Theatre. She has been part of the PlayGround-NY Writer’s Pool since 2022 and is a winner of the Oxford 10-Minute Playwriting Competition.  She is delighted to be represented in this year’s Seoul Players 10-Minute Play Festival!

Director: Daria Seok

After graduating from New York Film Academy in 2021, Daria always focused on her passion for storytelling, be it in theater or film. After working for a couple of years in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, Daria tried working behind the scenes at a TV network in Astana, Kazakhstan, and is now pursuing a career in the entertainment industry in Seoul. She is passionate about screenwriting, acting, and filmmaking in general, and this 10-minute play festival marks her first attempt at directing on stage instead of film sets. She has several plays (Five lesbians eating a quiche; Butlers and Billionaires) under her belt as an actor, including participation in a 10-minute play last year. She is excited about exploring the stage from a different perspective, as she’s familiar with the actor’s process as well.
