We are looking for actors of all ages, races, nationalities, genders, physical types, and experience levels.
Audition sign-ups will close at midnight on
Friday, Sept 5th.
There may still be open slots if people don’t show up, so walk-ins and a waiting list are available.
⭐️AUDITION DATES AND TIMES:⭐️
Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th at Funtastic Theatre, and the closest subway exit is Samgakji Station Exit #3.
Each hour-long time slot will be limited to 8 people to keep groupings small and allow easier contact tracing. Audition times will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t dilly-dally!
⭐️IMPORTANT DATES:⭐️
November 1st & November 2nd – Tech weekend
You will be required for one hour on one of these days.
November 7th, 8th, 9th – Performance Weekend
You will perform twice during this weekend, either Friday night / Saturday Matinee, or Saturday night / Sunday Matinee.
Possibly Saturday, November 15th – The Finals
**The top 8 plays will perform again the following weekend for glory and cash prizes**
Please make sure you will be available on all of these dates. It is very difficult to reshuffle casting if someone drops out of a production, and it is unfair to directors and other actors. We will do our best to accommodate your schedules and convenience.
⭐️AUDITION DAY:⭐️
On the day of auditions, just show up at your assigned time (or ideally a few minutes early!). Directors and festival producers will give you sides to read and perform with the other actors in your time slot.
We will email sides to actors a week before auditions so that you can look them over, but they do NOT need to be memorized. Do not rehearse a particular reading, as directors will be giving notes and asking you for specific reading styles. Just look over the scripts to become comfortable with the language and be ready to try different things at auditions. Also, please note that these sides will NOT be from scripts used in the festival; they are just words for you to speak.
The more variety you show us, the more roles you can be considered for. There are 16 different plays being cast, so show your range!
⭐️AFTER AUDITIONS:⭐️
Directors will submit their casting choices, and festival producers will finalize casting. You will be contacted by your director, and you can begin rehearsals.
Rehearsal times and locations will be decided upon by your individual cast, so you can make a rehearsal schedule that works for you. Normally, a 10-Minute Play will meet for about 1-2 hours once a week, but it will be up to your director and your cast!

Latecomers will be put on a waiting list for the next available slot, so please be on time, and by that, we mean early!
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to email us. Each year, the 10-Minute Play Festival is a lot of fun, and we love seeing people from all backgrounds and experience levels be part of the festival.
