Playwright: Christopher Zaczek
Christopher Zaczek is an actor, director and award-winning playwright from Baltimore, MD. He previously served on the boards of Seoul Players and Seoul Shakespeare Company.
His original play, Confessional, won Best Comedy in the 2020 One House, One Heart Play Festival, as well as winning Audience Favorite/Best Actress in the Theater Project’s Thinkfast Festival 2026.
His play Over the Hills and Far Away won 2nd place in the 2024 Seoul Players 10MPF as well as winning Best Play/Best Actor in The Theater Project’s Thinkfast Festival 2025.
He happily returned to the NYC Stage last year with his play 4 AM at WO HOP at the NYC SPF at the Players Theater.
Chris recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of having one of his plays, Fresh Start, published in the online anthology CTRL+ALT+DEL at dramalama.org.
Chris is incredibly grateful to Seoul Players for jumpstarting his writing career a decade ago, and is especially grateful to Lorne Oliver for his collaboration, his insights, and above all his friendship.

Director: Marley Herckner
Marley is super excited to return as a director for 2 years in a row. She has worked with Seoul Players on various projects since moving to Seoul in 2018, and worked on projects with Gwangju Performance Project before that. But Marley has always been in one theatre community or another since she could walk. She’s excited to bring another play to life for you!

Seungsoo “Chris” Ha as Dweezil
Chris is thrilled to be joining Seoul Players’ 10-Minute Play Festival for the first time, in what will be his second scripted production. After spending the past ten years improvising with Seoul City Improv and more recently jamming with Jam Improv, he finally mustered the courage to surrender himself to the terrifying permanence of written dialogue in Get in the Van’s Emma in 2026.
Having whetted his appetite on the sweet allure of knowing what his next line is supposed to be, Chris has decided to venture deeper into the cutthroat world of scripted theatre with the 10MPF. He looks forward to working with, learning from, and occasionally plotting against the many talented performers involved.
Meruyert Abildinova as Moon
Meruyert Abildinova, or Mika for short, is appearing in the Seoul Players 10-Minute Play Festival for the first time and is very excited to join the cast. She does acting and dancing. Her absolute favorite things in the world are her diary and her cat, whose name is Cheese.
