Playwright: John C. Davenport
John C. Davenport is a Seattle-based career journalist and former stand-up comic who veered into playwriting, which he usually does while seated. He has had productions (mostly one-act comedies) in 27 states, London, Australia, Canada, Panama and now Seoul! His full-length plays have been produced in Chicago, Dallas, Seattle and Bremerton, Wash. His work has been included in one-act festivals at (among other places) the Estrogenius Festival in New York; Acme Theater in Maynard, Mass.; Santa Paula (Calif.) Theater Center; the Snowdance Festival in Racine, Wis.; Spokane (WA) Civic Theatre’s Playwrights Festival; and Theatre Three in Port Jefferson, N.Y. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America and Seattle Playwrights Circle and co-founder of Red Rover Theatre Company.

Kelly has studied drama extensively and performed improv and stand-up comedy. She has been a long-serving member of the Gwangju Performance Project. She is looking forward to participating in Seoul Players 10 Minute Play Festival again this year.

Nikita McDermid as Eve
Mc Dermid Nikita Domeniqué is a South African performer and English teacher based in Gwangju, South Korea. She began acting at 12, training at acting school and performing throughout primary and high school, where she was often cast in larger roles. At 16, she competed in the International Modeling & Talent Association (IMTA) competition in New York, later expanding her performance interests into modeling, singing, drumming, and ukulele.
After several years away from the stage, Nikita is excited to return to performing. She has a passion for storytelling and bringing lively, memorable characters to life, and loves acting for the simple joy of stepping into someone else’s shoes and getting to play pretend for a while.
Ashley Nicole Stevens as Steve
Ashley Nicole Stevens is thrilled to perform in her first show in Korea! Back home in Minnesota, Ashley worked as a stage/film actress, with some voice over experience, as well. Now she teaches English in Korea and is excited to return to the stage after a few years away. Hope you all enjoy the show!
Cynthia Pace as Perry
Cynthia is a Florida native who has made her home in South Korea for the past year as an English teacher. She majored in theatre for two years in college, primarily focused on stage craft, before committing to education. Now she’s stepping onto the stage for the second time with Seoul Players!
